We are excited to announce that our CEO and Co-Founder, Terry Dunlap, will deliver the keynote at this year’s DFARS Cybersecurity 2.0 event, hosted by the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) of New England. Dubbed the ‘year of continuous monitoring’, the event will closely examine the new cybersecurity regulations imposed on federal contractors, such as the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Designed to provide insight on the ever-changing cybersecurity landscape, the one-day event will highlight the perspectives of industry experts who are on the frontlines of innovation, and how federal contractors can expect to adapt moving forward. The event will take place Thursday, May 24th at the Raytheon’s Freedom Theater in Tewksbury, MA.
Terry will kick-off the event with his keynote presentation, Under Sauron’s Eye: How IoT Firmware is the One Vulnerability to Rule Them All, during which he will demonstrate the often-overlooked security risks of IoT firmware. Diving into how his team discovered firmware vulnerabilities left behind by China’s second-largest camera manufacturer, Dahua, Terry will unmask how flawed firmware on IoT devices has resulted in countless cases of privacy invasion and malicious tampering proven detrimental to government organizations.
